About Us

 We are a lively mixture of German, Irish and American and we live on our sailboat Magnum. There's Captain Uwe Dobers, First mate Anne Crowley, and little deckhand Kara Dobers.

We returned from a previous sailing trip in Australia & Asia at the end of 1999, and we were eager to embark upon another voyage.  This time we decided to have our very own crew, and along came Kara in 2002.  We built a new house, bought a boat, worked a lot on the boat, and 6 years later we were finally ready to sail out under the Golden Gate bridge, turn left, and see what happens.
